The New York Chapter of the SCC will hold its Antioxidant Symposium on June 5 at the New York Academy of Sciences, World Trade Center, Building 7, in New York City. This symposium will feature key academic and industrial researchers in the field of antioxidants for the skin. Some of the presentations scheduled include “Release of Polyphenols from Cosmetic Emulsions and their Permeation through the Skin” by Olesya Zillich, Ph.D, Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging, Freising, Germany; “Botanical Antioxidants for Health and Beauty of the Skin” by Hasan Mukhtar, Ph.D, Dept. of Dermatology, University of Wisconsin; and “Environmental Effects of Skin: Antioxidant Protection Against Oxidative Challenge” by Ed Pelle, Ph.D, Estée Lauder Research Laboratories.
